Caversham Nursery

Our Nursery

Caversham is a friendly, caring nursery in the heart of Kentish Town, run by QCCA. Just a short walk from the tube, we are open 8am – 6pm all year round, including school holidays. Our hours make us as popular with working parents as we are with families based at home.

We take babies from six months in our baby and toddler room and have a pre school room, with a capacity for around 40 children. We’re passionate about helping children to be school-ready so that they can learn independently, work in groups and follow instructions. But we also believe learning should be holistic and we’re proud of our varied curriculum.

Our well-established team of practitioners is experienced at supporting parents coping with SEND in the family and we’ve been awarded an enthusiastic ‘Good’ rating by Ofsted

Activities

Baby & Toddler Room

For little ones aged six months to two years and three months, this cosy space leads out onto its own garden. There are structured naptimes as well as a dedicated dark area for babies who need more sleep

Pre-School Room

A large classroom for two-five year olds which leads directly onto one of the largest nursery gardens in the area with plenty of facilities for muddy play. Naptimes are structured, but there’s a dedicated dark area for in-between nappers

Meals

Good food is crucial to wellbeing and learning. We provide vegetables and fresh fruit as snacks throughout the day. Our freshly-cooked meals from trusted provider Zebedees means we cater for all dietary requirements

Gardening

The garden area in our playground is where children learn to grow vegetables. They also help cook them. Caversham roasties with rosemary is our signature dish!

Yoga

Bending, stretching, breathing – weekly children’s yoga is a great way to develop balance, co-ordination and fitness and it’s a free part of our curriculum. So is football

Ofsted

“We couldn’t be happier with the Caversham Nursery. The team is truly exceptional and well-versed in childcare. Our son is in excellent hands. The nursery has a warm, homely atmosphere and a beautiful garden that our son adores. Each staff member genuinely cares about the children and is dedicated to providing the best care possible.”

Lisa MMother of Child

“I am impressed with this nursery and its excellent staff. All the staff are lovely and create a wonderful environment for the children. My child is flourishing, coming home with new words every day, and sometimes doesn't even want to leave. It's clear that all the children are enjoying themselves and thriving here.”

William KFather of Child

“My child is incredibly happy at Caversham. The staff are warm, nurturing, and sparky. They encourage him to be compassionate explore and take risks. The group sizes are small and children spend time with different age groups. He feels really confident and often doesn't want to come home at the end of the day. Recommend it.”
